LG confirm 12 megapixel camera phone in the works

There is much talk about the 12 megapixel camera mobile phone lately, and the only mobile phone maker to actually come up with the proof at Mobile World Congress was Sony Ericsson's < Idou >which was unveiled in Barcelona, during MWC 2009.. However, as usual many will quickly follow Sony Ericsson’s example, and it appears that the first to do is will be LG.
Apparently on the subject of 12 megapixel phone - it looks like the phone’s camera will feature good-quality lens, “beauty enhancer” and “smile shot”, with optical zoom as a possibility - LG Mobile’s head of UK marketing, Jeremy Newing has said…“We’ll very much be releasing a 12MP cameraphone. However, it’s important that people realize when taking 12MP images, they’ll be using huge amounts of data, and it will be more difficult to do things like send such files.”
So there it is, not too sure when we’ll be seeing signs of the LG 12 megapixel camera phone, but it’s definitely on its way.

이젠, 800만 화소도 아니고, 100만화소도 아닌, 1200만 화소급 카메라폰 경쟁 시대가 도래했군요. 작년 말에서 올해 초까지만해도 삼성의 최초 800만 화소 폰카의 유럽 발매를 시작으로 여기 저기서 800만 화소 폰카가 출시되고, 얼마전 전세계 휴대폰 시장의 제왕이던 핀란드 노키아가 뒤늦게 800만 화소 폰카를 내 놓는해프닝을 벌이는가 싶더니, 2월 16일 열린 스페인 바르셀로나 MWC 2009 에서 삼성이 1200만 화소급 카메라폰을 발표하리라는 예상을 뒤엎고 소니 에릭슨이 < Idou > 란 모델로 1200만 화소 카메라폰 (이 정도가 되면 "폰카"라는 호칭보다는 정식으로 "카메라폰"이라고 불러야 할 듯...) 시대를 열었습니다. 이제 LG가 세상에 1200만 화소 카메라폰을 내 준다면 세계 두번쨰가 되겠지요. 기사 내용을 보니 언제가 될진 몰라도 확실히 나온다는 걸 보아서...아마도 영국에서 먼저 발매가 될 듯 하네요.
이어서...삼성의 행보가 궁금해 집니다.^^
